Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore and describe the experience of family´s caregiver in the dementia. Two participants were persons who were caring and living with dementia patients. They wereasked openended questions in order for them to talk their experience in their own terms. Interviews were taperecorded and transcribed. The transcripts were analyzed by Colaizzi method. Major themes that were emerged from the analysis are "isolation," "burden," "guilt," "fatigue," "adjust,-. spirituality," "maturation," and "seeking information".
